Final Lesson on the Kingdom of God
-Take everything that we have learned, and then what are we supposed to do with it.

Luke 8:16–18 HCSB
“No one, after lighting a lamp, covers it with a basket or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see its light. For nothing is concealed that won’t be revealed, and nothing hidden that won’t be made known and come to light. Therefore take care how you listen. For whoever has, more will be given to him; and whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.”

Let THE light shine
– In Jesus parable he points out a universal truth, light is for seeing and not for hiding.

The lie of “Secret Light”
•  live the Christian life in hiding

There is nothing more selfish than to keep God’s light a secret.
• It gives life, it gives hope
• It can be the difference between your friends living a life full of God, or full of death.
• We need to soberly consider our motivations for concealing God’s light.
• We can pray for the Holy Spirit’s help in shining brighter

There is no greater gift that you can give to others than to let God’s light shine.

Luke 11:36 HCSB
If, therefore, your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be entirely illuminated, as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

John 3:19 HCSB
“This, then, is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.

Romans 13:12–14 HCSB

The night is nearly over, and the daylight is near, so let us discard the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness; not in sexual impurity and promiscuity; not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.
You put on the Lord Jesus Christ by:
• trusting him to save you from darkness and transform you to light
• conforming your actions to his teaching

Final Warning
Luke 8:17 HCSB
For nothing is concealed that won’t be revealed, and nothing hidden that won’t be made known and come to light.
